The founder

Giovanni

Giovanni grew up surrounded by the art, the light and the colours of the Sorrento peninsula — and Under the Arch is his way of sharing them. An artist and founder of the gallery, he spent years building a space where guests do not just look at art: they make it. Every session is personal. Every guest leaves with something made with their own hands.

Our story

Where art meets authentic Italy

Under the Arch is not a gallery that happens to sit in a beautiful place. It is a beautiful place that became a gallery — founded by Giovanni in the hilltop village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno.

The name comes from the historic stone arch that characterises our space: a symbol of passage between tradition and contemporary artistic exploration.
